Mangalore : Eid day tragedy - Boy killed in bike-tipper accident at Bajpe

Bajpe, Jul 29 : A 17-year-old, second PU student died when the bike he was riding was hit by a tipper. The accident took place at Bajpe check post at around 11:30 am.

The boy identified as Mohammed Zakir (17) is a resident of Karmbar, in Kenjar village.

















Zakir was returning home after visiting his relatives on account of Eid while the incident occurred. After the the tipper collided with the bike, the boy was thrown on the road and the tyre of the tipper went over his head and he succumbed to death on the spot.

He is the the son of Umarabba and Umayabanu.

The tipper driver has been arrested. A complaint has been filed at the Bajpe police station.

    One more tregedy hit. But, some one was mentioning as "WHO IS LISTENING TO THESE "PARENTS"... I am asking who will listen and who need to listen. it's only parents of such youth who are left unguided are to listen. why they just let their children to drive like this... no license... no proper driving skill... but driving.. it's like rally on the road. It's purely parents are to be held responsible. Why not they stop their children taking vehicles when they know they are not supposed... I know they will not listen. but that doesn't mean you just let them go off. if you do so, this is what you need to pay for. So, instead of boosting telling my son is this, that, he drives now itself, he drives like rocket... instead of telling all these, just realise your children are at the life threat and save them. If you don't do that... one day your children's photo will be here. remember that.

    What a tragic accident on the Eid day. May Allah give courage to his parents to bear the loss of their young son. RIP. Speed thrills but kills, I am sure both tipper and this boy was on high speed else this would have not happened.

    rest of his life it makes him to recall that incident in mind...
    this world always support to wrong rather than right...
    Since i know the condition of Bajpe road and how these minor boys ram their two wheeler i wrote..

    Yes Mr Rakesh, I totally agree. 72 percent of the motorcycle accident related deaths are in the age-group of 18 to 30.

    Need of the hour is to educate road users on the "safety first" principle. While a few of us are actually attempting to spread the awareness, we are hardly finding any support from the cops.

    Inna lillahi wa inna elahi rajoon.Very sad and yesterday,here in my native place one peculiar incident which miraculously spared Teen Bike rider's life but leg was operated in Mangalore.Fortunately the service Bus was very very slow and bike completely disfigured.Therefore,parents need to watch their loved teen's bike movement.

    Dear Parents
    Don't give the bike to children aged 15 to 24,
    Statistics in mangalore says death in this age in our area is considerably more in this age due to speed, negligence & sometimes bad roads.
    Particularly during rainy season try to avoid bike.
