Puttur, Aug 21: One died and three others seriously injured when a car rammed into a ore-laden lorry at Parayeru Kutti near Udane on National Highway 48 here on Monday August 21 morning.  The accident is said to have occurred around 3 am.

While the deceased has been identified as Anand (37), son of H Y Keshavayya of Mission Hospital Road at Hassan, the critically injured have been identified as Srinivasan, Satyamurthy and Dharmendra.  They have now been admitted in a private hospital at Mangalore.

The car was on its way to Hassan from Udupi when it rammed into the ore-laden lorry which was parked beside the road in front of a nursery at Parayeru Kutti.  The sources said that the lorry had some technical problems and was under repairs when the accident took place.

All the three injured and Anand were travelling in the Maruti car which hit lorry.

A case has been registered in the Nelyadi outpost in this regard.
