Mangalore, Aug 2: Big Time Creations, an event management company is all set to organize 'Mangalore Idol', an open-to-all singing competition for the participants of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Both male and female candidates above 15 years are eligible to take part in the competition.
This was announced at a press meet held here on Saturday August 2.
The preliminary round will be held on August 13 between 12 noon and 6 pm at City Centre Mall. Participants should sing Hindi and one regional film songs.
The event, powered by Electrical Point, will be relayed as episodes for a month in Daijiworld TV 24x7 channel throughout DK and the Gulf. Radio Mirchi will be the radio partner.
The grand finale will be held on August 15 at Devadiga Samaja Bhavana Mannagudda Gandhinagar, Mangalore at 1 pm. Top music director Manikanth Kadri, and Kannada playback singers Santosh Venky and Supriya Lohith will be the judges.
The entry forms must be filled and brought to the preliminary venue (City Center) on August 13 before 12 noon.
The forms are available at Satyam music store, Saibeen Complex, Mangalore, Big Time Creations, first floor, Essel Chambers, Karangalpady, Mangalore, Just Bake in Udupi, Daijiworld offices at Bendoorwell and Bondel.

The organizers said that there has been good response for the event and urged aspiring singers not to miss this golden opportunity to showcase their talent on television.
