Mangalore, Aug 22: DYFI district committee staged protest against mismanagement in Wenlock and Lady Goschen Hospital here on Monday August 22.

The protestors said that patients have been neglected in Wenlock Hospital.  Some of the patients, who have been admitted to hospital a couple of months ago, are still waiting for their surgery.  The operation theatre equipments of the orthopaedic section are under repairs.  The management has not even shown interest in replacing them, they alleged.

"The situation is not different in Lady Goschen Hospital too.  The women who come here for delivery are facing umpteen problems.  Even basic facilities are not provided.  Despite submitting appeal to the health officer, there has not been any improvement.  That is why we have decided to take to the streets," said protestors.

DYFI leaders Muneer Katipalla, Ashok Konchady and others led the protest.
