Bantwal, Aug 22: A housewife from Karavupadi near Vittal died after falling into a pond accidentally on Monday August 21 evening.
Sita (50), wife of Tirumaleshwar Shashtri of Thenkabail of Karavupadi near Vittal had gone to the field to bring grass for the cattle on Monday evening. As she was cutting grass by the side of a pond, she is said to have slipped and fallen into the pond. Since there was no one was with her, she drowned in the water and died.
However, no one knew about this. Her family members started searching her when she did not come home even after long time. It was only then that they found her in the pond. She was later fished out of the pond in the presence of Vittal presence.
Vittal police have registered a case in this regard.
