Udupi, Aug 23: There are conflicting reports about arrests having been made following the murder of Hai Maruta editor Hitendra Prasad on Monday night behind the live band joint in Manipal.
A reliable daily has reported that four arrests have been made, while an eyewitness had filed a complaint against eight persons including live band joint owner.
The police have reportedly formed four groups to nab all those who were involved in the gruesome murder.
An autopsy on the body of Hitendra Prasad was conducted on Tuesday, say reports. However, his parents Damodar and Sulochana have not taken the body home pending arrival of a brother of his who was abroad. He was expected to arrive on Wednesday.
