Mangalore, Aug 24: Khadeeja Saleem, hailing from the family of the well-known drapers and textile merchants 'Musbah' of the city, has passed the LLM examinations (Law) from the Mumbai University, with flying colours.

She has not only passed with I Class but secured the I Rank in the University among all the faculties of Law.

She was felicitated on her achievement by the vice chancellor of the University of August 21.

An alumna of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Law in the city, currently, Khadeeda is a practising High Court advocate, specialized in the unique subject of Intellectual Property. She is reportedly one of the very few advocates practising in the subject.

She was in the city in April earlier this year to deliver a useful and informative lecture on Intellectual Property rights, as part of "Attov", a workshop organized by the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy. It was thoroughly appreciated by a large number of writers, authors, playwrights, music-writers etc. and led to a very educative interaction between the speaker and the audience.
