Bangalore, Aug 5: The official government order constituting the one-man judicial probe headed by a retired high court judge into the alleged denotification of lands acquiredfor forming the Arkavathi layout in the city outskirts will be constituted in the next three to four days.
This information was given by Karnataka’s Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T B Jayachandra in Bangalore on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, he said a retired judge of the High Court will be appointed to conduct the probe.
The High Court of Karnataka was not ready to spare a sitting judge, Jayachandra said.
He would meet the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court on Wednesday, the Minister said.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced that the judicial probe would be conducted into alleged denotification of lands.
The probe would be conducted from the day of issuing of a preliminary notification in 2003 till the revised modification scheme was submitted to the High Court of Karnataka.
To a query on the Akrama-Sakrama scheme, he said the matter was pending before the High Court.
Asked whether he would be interested to take the job of the Deputy Chief Minister, he said the Chief Minister and the party high command has to take a decision on creating a post of the Deputy Chief Minister.
Jayachandra said there was no cold war between him and the State Congress President G Parameshwara.
"We both are friends and he is the State party president,” he said.
