Udupi, Aug 6: Sequence Dance Crew, Udupi will organize 'Sequence Coupz – 2014,' an exclusive dance competition between state-level dance winners on Saturday August 9 at Town Hall, Ajjarkad.
The winner of the competition will take away a cash prize of Rs 30,000, the first runner up Rs 20,000 and the second Rs 10,000.
About Sequence Dance Crew
Sequence Dance group has been functioning for the past seven years and has trained hundreds of dancers.
Sequence Dance group was initiated in 2007 with a vision to encourage, motivate and develop the talent of dance among children as well as adults. Rajesh, the founder of the group is a talented dance artiste as well as a professional choreographer.
The crew members focus on semi-classical, folk, hip hop and western dance forms. At present there are nearly 200 students in various batches.
The uniqueness of the group is that they provide training free of cost to interested students from financial backgrounds. The group also provides six months of hard course and then promote students to perform on various platforms as well as to take part in competitions. The motto of this dance troupe is 'Anybody can dance,' literally it implies that there is no age limit.
The group has trained nearly 1500 students so far and performed on more than 80 stage programmes. They have participated in various state level competitions held at Bangalore, Shimoga, Bhatkal and so on. They have also taken part in the South Zonal dance auditions conducted at Chennai.
The dance crew is incomplete without Rajesh. He runs three more branches in the district. He has given choreography training in many school and colleges. He also handles event management and cultural programmes with the best outcomes.
The troupe's ambition is to expand branches in various locations and train more students and their ultimate aim is to encourage and promote young and budding talent.
