Rajendra Prasad takes charge as new SP of Udupi district

Udupi, Aug 11: P Rajendra Prasad on Monday August 11 took charge as the new superintendent of police (SP) of Udupi district.

He replaces Dr Boralingaiah, who was appointed as the SP of Davangere earlier this month.

Rajendra Prasad has served as SP in Chamarajanagar. He was promoted to the rank of IPS officer in the year 2013.

Additional SP Santosh Kumar, Karkala ASP Annamalai, Udupi DSP Prabhudev Mane, DSP Kundapur C C Patil and other officials were present.

I take this opportunity to extend a warm and hearty welcome to Mr. Rajendra Prasad, I.P.S., to Udupi as The Superintendent of Police. He comes to the district with a fund of knowledge backed with a very good reputation as a strict but fair officer. His statement to the media that we should build bridges and not walls speaks volumes of him

I join several others in wishing him a very fruitful tenure and a long and pleasant stay in Udupi.
