Mangalore, Aug 14: Here's some good news for all the Konkani music lovers and Konkani artistes of Mangalore - Stan Nite is back again to entertain one and all. One of the most popular singers and composers in Konkani, Stanislaus Mendonca (Stan) from UK is all set to host his 9th and 10th Stan Nites in Mangalore on Friday August 15, organized by Catholic Sabha Kelarai at Kelarai Grounds, and again on August 24, by Sisters of Charity, Prashanth Nivas Jeppu at St Joseph’s School Ground Jeppu.

Both these Nites are organised in association with Alfred Bennis Creations which will be officially inaugurated on August 15 during the Stan Nite at Kelaria Church hall in the presence of various dignitaries of the city.

Known by his nick name, Stany Mendonca Cascia now settled in UK staged his last successful Stan Nite and created a record in the foreign land of United Kingdom on June 23, 2013. He is the only singer to host a Konkani Nite in the history of UK. With the support of Konkani community in the UK, Stan is planning to organize many more Konkani Nites and Konkani cultural programs in the UK.

Stan has already composed and sung three Konkani albums: 'Chintna Bhogna Bhavana, 'Yego Pisolya' and 'Ashavadi'.

From a young age of 16, Stan has expressed his love for music and that spark for music has now become an eternal flame. This musically talented individual has given a lot to Konkani music and still has an infinite amount to give. Despite his busy schedule and being the father of three, he has composed more than 200 songs and also has eight musical Nites to his credit. During his yearly vacation when he visits Mangalore along with his family to meet and greet his friends and relatives Stan never forgets his love towards his mother tongue and dedicates his time to Konkani. "God has given me this talent to make use of it, sharing among the society and that’s what I am trying to do," says Stan.

Stan’s eldest daughter Sonal Mendonca and niece Ashvija Mendonca along with other budding talents Reshma Gonsalves Vamanjoor, Ashwin D’Costa Kulshekar, Elston Coelho Cascia are all excited and ready to set the stage on fire and entertain the Konkani lovers with their melodious voices.

Popular singer-composer 'Konkan Kala Sree' Claude D'Souza Bendore will also enthral everyone with his melodious voice and give an additional flavour to the Nite. Dubai-based entrepreneur Joseph Mathias will be a guest artiste who will tickle the Konkani lovers with humorous songs.

Music direction for the Nite will be provided by well-known music director Joswin Pinto Bendore. 'Me-mo-ri' team which formed and hosted their first comedy show under the direction of Comedy King Dolla, during the first Stan Nite in Mangalore, will also entertain everyone yet again. 'Thunder Guys' dance troupe from Bajpe is set to entertain all with their performances. The entire programme will be hosted by the popular MC Vincent Mendonca Cascia who is also the elder brother of Stan.

In his message, Stan asks people to support artists, especially Konkani artistes, through which they can exhibit their talents to the fullest. He wants to encourage people of all ages who belong to Konkani community to speak Konkani more often and help the language grow.

Stan requests all the Konkani lovers to attend the show and support the programme with good wishes and blessings.
