Dubai, Aug 17: Renowned entrepreneur and established singer Harish Sherigar of Acme Building Materials, in association with Devadigas Dubai (UAE), is all set to present a unique musical nite with grand comedy and dance show titled 'Sandalwood to Bollywood' on Friday September 12 at 5.30 pm at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School, Dubai.
The programme, marking the 22nd anniversary celebrations of Devadigas Dubai, is driven by a nobel gesture. The sole intention of this programme is to raise education fund for financially needy children back home.
The programme will also have live band arriving all the way from India with sensational singing stars who will perform melodious hits from Kannada, Hindi, Tulu and Konkani. The main attractions will be renowned female playback singer Sinchan Dixit, singer Ravi Murur from Bangalore and Ranjan Das from Mangalore. Joining them will be Harish Sherigar, Akshata Rao, Melwyn D’Souza, and Joshal who are well-known singers from UAE.
Sinchan Dixit of TVS Sa Re Ga Ma fame, is one singer in Indian music industry who has created magic with her voice all over India and even abroad in different languages.
Sinchan is a highly motivated, honest and hardworking individual who believes in giving her best. Born into a family of music lovers, she has worked with music directors like M M Kreem ('Jism' fame), Hamsalekha, V Manohar, Manomurthy, Abhiman, Rajesh Ramnath, Gurudutt, K Kalyan, Chandrakanth, Emil, Gurukiran and others. She has done playback singing for a number of Kannada movies, and worked with legendry composer Rajan Nagendra. She was a runner-up in national-level Antakshari competitions namely 'Chalti Ka Naam Antakshari' on Star Plus and 'Sansui Antakshari' hosted by Annu Kapoor on Zee TV. She was also a finalist of Indian Idol 4 from Bangalore and Gwalior, and of musical show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa of Zee TV.
Ravi Murur, singer and music composer, has worked as a music director and singer for many tele-serials. He has performed many programmes with Sangeetha Katti, Fayaz Khan, Praveen Godkhini and also Puttur Narasimha Nayak and C Ashwath in many shows all over India and aboard.
Ranjan Das is a versatile singer and 'junior Kishore Kumar of South India', having performed all over India and many Gulf countries.
Harish Sherigar, Dubai’s well known entrepreneur from Mangalore, is an established singer who hasperformed in many concerts in India, the Gulf and abroad. His voice is well suited for S P Balasubrahmanyam and Kishore Kumar songs.
Akshatha Rao is a sensational up and coming playback singer, well-known in Dubai. She has already rendered her voice for a Tulu movie.
Melwyn D'Souza, a vocalist, lyricist and composer all rolled into one, has performed for Rannvijay of MTV Roadies. He has performed in many stage shows as a singer and host in India and abroad.
Joshal Sweeda D'Souza is a well-known singer, having performed in many stage shows in the UAE and India.
Music director for the show Raj Gopal is a noted lead guitarist from Mangalore. He has performed in many shows all over India and aboard, many TV reality show and recorded for many Kannada, Tamil and Tulu movie songs with famous music directors. He will be the music director for the show along with famous musicians from film industry.
Stand-up comedy by Gammath Kalavider (Dubai), comprising well-known and leading actors like Chidanana Poojary, Vishwanath Shetty, Rajesh Kuthar, Sandeep Devadiga, Jesh Bayar, Sunil and Ramesh will provide a laughter treat to the audience throughout the programme.
Dance performance by Pranavam Dance Institute led by Prasanna Kumar will be another highlight.
Mangalore’s famous VJ Madhu Mailankody who has conducted many shows in India and abroad will be the host for the evening.
The organizers have guaranteed a programme that would be a first class family entertainment combined with a whole lot of comedy and music to enthrall the audience of UAE.
