Suspected LeT operatives sent to judicial custody

New Delhi, Aug 19 (IANS): A court here Tuesday sent to judicial custody, till Sep 2, suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative Abdul Subhan and his aide Asahbuddin in a case of planning terror attacks in India.

Additional Sessions Judge Reetesh Singh sent Subhan and his aide to judicial custody after the two were produced before him on expiry of their five-day police custody.

The court last Wednesday remanded Pakistani national Arshad Khan to nine-day police custody in the case. Lodged in a Kolkata jail in connection with the kidnapping of shoe baron Partha Roy Burman in 2001, he was brought to the court here.

Sources said Abdul Subhan's name surfaced during the interrogation of two youths from Mewat in Haryana, who were arrested in December last year.
