Kundapur: Clash between college students lands four in hospital

Kundapur, Aug 21: A group of students from a prestigious college fought outside the college campus here on Wednesday Aug 20, reportedly over a trivial issue. Another group of youths from outside the college also joined them in the fight, resulting in the hospitalization of four students.

A minor tension between the students reportedly led to fight between two groups making one group assault the other. The other group retaliated by calling youths from outside the college to join the fight. The group was reportedly waiting with sticks and cycle chains outside the college campus.

As the group which assaulted in the beginning started to come out of the college, the group waiting outside assaulted them. Four students from among both the groups were admitted to Kundapur government hospital.

Police circle inspector P M Diwakar, responding to the incident said that both police staff, including policewomen will be deployed outside the college campus starting from Thursday in order to maintain peace.

    They are young and the hot blood keeps boiling always and sometimes the bad/short tempered nature bust out for silly reasons. It is not particular type of food but lack of ethical, moral code and discipline and absence of spiritual values leads to all such crude behavior in the youth. Let us hope that they will learn from their mistakes and behave as a good citizen in the future.

    Rediculous!! This is EGO problem. No one wants to be hurt thier EGO.

    Children/students you'll are going to school/college to study and to become a good human being and not to become Goonda's. Please study well and be a good citizen and dont spoil the name of your parents.

    May be the students are getting inspired from our politicians/MP’S who engage in fight during Parliament session.

    Such nuisance usually takes place in Government Institutions and make the situation worse, jobless Goondas are freely available and ready to join for few bucks/alcohol.

    Looks so disappointing. these are the youth which need to be responsible for cleaning up the society and help to bring up a new and clean society in future. But unfortunately they are already in the clashing and fighting mode. At least enforce them for peace and discipline , at least now than never. Punish the culprits and support the right and truth. Unless justice is provided the team which ever is on the right side will start feeling no fun in being trust and right and in turn they will also divert themselves to screw the society back.
    So, please evaluate the issue and action need to be taken seriously.

    ONE GROUP WHICH ASSAULTED IN THE BEGINNING IS AT FAULT AND MAKE OTHER GROUP TO RETALIATE WHICH IS NORMAL AT STUDENT AGE SO THAT COLLEGE MANAGEMENT SHOULD IDENTIFY & SOLVE SUCH ISSUES AT THE EARLIEST TO AVOID RECURRENCE.
    IN CASE IF COULD NOT SOLVE BETTER TO APPROACH POLICE FOR FURTHER ACTION BECAUSE THEY CANNOT BEAT STUDENTS LEGALLY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

    College should not have activities which end up in clashes. Elections for what to create a mess and rivalry. Its just studies and good activities and good development of a student thats what is important in life.

    It is sad that at a time young men should concentrate on their studies and prioritize their vocations life they indulge in fights.

    If students cannot maintain discipline during their formative years how will they face life during the years to follow.

    As I comment on this episode I recall my student days and give credit to The Jesuit Fathers of Sacred memory for bringing the best out of me.

    Students...set aside your feelings of resentment and concentrate on your studies.

    NO problem if the life / career of 10 students is ruined. But thousands of other students will learn a lesson and behave properly, That is how we are not able to control RAGGING, shame on students who indulge in ragging and goonda fights
