Puttur: Concrete mixing machine theft; four held, stolen items recovered

Puttur, Aug 22: Relating to the theft of a concrete mixing machine from Mantoor in Savanur, Kadaba recently, the Kadaba police arrested four persons living around Savanur near Kadaba and produced them in the court.

The accused are Zainuddin (25) from Artikere, Abdul Rahiman alias Shafique (20) from Shantinagara, Abdul Nassir (20) from Puddotu in Savanur and Muhammed Fizal (19), a resident of Shantinagara. It is said that some other accused, including Aivattoklu Salim and Aziz from Kerala succeeded in remaining elusive.

In addition to the stolen concrete mixing machine, a truck and auto rickshaw which were used for the theft were also confiscated from the accused. Total value of these items has been put at Rs 2.5 lac.

The raiding team was led by Kadaba station house officer Yogeesh Kumar.
