Karnataka Premier Cricket League comes to UAE for first time

Dubai, Aug 27: For the first time in the UAE, Karnataka Premier Cricket League T20 (KPCL) will be organized and played in Ajman and Dubai this October-November.

Only 6 or 8 teams will be allowed to participate on first-come-first-serve basis. Each team will play three league matches and top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.

All the league matches will be played in Ajman; and final and semi-finals will played in Dubai (subject to availability of ground).

The League will start from October 24 for the period of 4 weeks. The exclusive cricket tournament is open only for Karnataka players (player or player's parent should be from Karnataka).

A tournament entry fee is 2,500 AED, teams will be provided with the colour kits. Winners and runners-up will get cash as prize money and trophies. Player of the tournament will be given a bike in India.

Participating teams can associate their team with a city from Karnataka. This provides an opportunity to garner fan base for the team from the associated cities. Associating with the tournament will provide the team with the exciting opportunity to get together with the Karnataka community.
