Udupi, Aug 29: Belwe Vasanth Kumar Shetty organized a press meet at Press Club, Udupi, on Thursday August 28, to object against Guru Santhosh Shetty alias Santhosh Shetty who is claiming to be Bunts’ ‘Kulaguru’. “Tulunadu has a vast history, so people believe in ‘Daiva’ worship. So there is need to create awareness among the Bunts’ community about the fake Guru alias Santhosh Shetty,” he said adding that he had drawn up an affidavit and submitted it to the City Civil Session Court as the entire Bunts’ community had accepted him as their ambassador and advocate.

Vasanth Kumar said, “The Guru has mentioned Vijayanagar instead of Barkur in his address and also has himself declared that he is a founder of the Bunts’ community and will establish Bantapeeta Mahasamsthana Math in Barkur. This Santhosh Shetty has been calling himself Vidya Vachaspathi Santhosh Shetty Guruji.”

He further stated that there is no objection to having a ‘Peeta’ anywhere, but the entire community strongly condemns calling him the Kulaguru or ‘Peetadhipathi’ and said that there is no concept of Guru in the Bunts’ community.

“Hence, the Bunts’ committee has decided to organize Swabhimani Bunts’ Athma Jagruti Samiti Samagama on Saturday August 30,at Dharmavaram Auditorium to create awareness among the people,” said Vasanth Kumar.
