Jenifer Menezes elected president of Udupi diocese women's association

Udupi, Aug 30: Jenifer Menezes of Brahmavar parish has been elected the new president of 'Stree Sanghatan' (women's association) of Udupi diocese for year 2014-2015.

The other office-bearers elected are Gracy Monteiro, Katapadi (vice-presidnet); Shaila Lewis, Kundapur (secretary); Florine D’Souza, Ajekar (joint secretary); Beena Lewis, Kallianpur (treasurer); and Josephine Correa, Mudarangadi (editor: 'Motiyam' magazine).

The election was conducted by Fr Valerian Mendonca, chancellor, Udupi diocese, who is also the spiritual director of women's association, Udupi.
