Kadalakere to be developed on the lines of Pilikula Nisargadhama model

Mangalore, Sep 1: As many as 28,000 fingerlings were released into Kadalakere Nisargadhama tank at Ontikatte in Moodbidri on Sunday August 31. Boating service was also thrown open to the public on this occasion.

At the programme, conducted by Rotary Club in association with the departments of forest and fisheries, fingerlings belonging to different species of fish were released into the tank.

The boating service was inaugurated by state minister for youth services and fisheries, K Abhaychandra Jain, by taking joyride in one of the boats here. Jain said on the occasion that Kadalakere is being developed on the model of Pilikula Nisargadhama near Mangalore and that desilting work had been undertaken in this tank at a cost of one crore rupees during 2012-13.

"A stadium has been built with an investment of Rs 25 lac. I will put in efforts to secure more government grants for the development of this tank and its surroundings. I will also provide two water scooters for the benefit of those who want to have fun here, within six weeks," he promised.

Assistant forest conservator, Kishore Kumar Shetty, deputy director of fisheries, M D Prasad, assistant director, Parshwanath, Rotary Club president, Dr Muralikrishna, directors of Kadalakere, Dr L C Soans and N S Rego, municipal president, Supriya D Shetty, standing committee chairman, Basheer, Bar Association president, K Ratnakar Devadiga, municipal councillors, Anil Lobo, Suresh Kotian, Roopa S Shetty, and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

    I wonder if he said (by mistake) that he will convert the place on lines of Pilikula instead of Singapore or Hong Kong, as it is the trends going around Karnataka and India as a whole!!

    In conjunction with: Forest dept..Tourism dept..Horticulture dept..
    Agricultural university ...
    Develop parks on scientific professional scale..
    Induct Ex naval officers for safety.. Bay
    watch..
    But let the students on Every occasion be handed over plants to be planted and enhance nature ..
    seek the Advise from Japan.. let it be PEACEFUL..
    Let there be meditation and yoga... and walking and Bicycling paths...
    Use Granite pavers ..cobbles....etc.
    Let birds sanctuary... orchid farming..fish farming..bamboo grows,be developed.

    True.
    -Moodbidri Fish, Fruit & Vegetable market need to be renovated as soon as possible.
    -Roads need to be widened.
    -Parking facility for private vehicles has to be provided.
    -Well equipped & organized Govt Hospital & College is people's need from long time, which has to be actioned immediately.

    In short... 'Jain Kashi Moodbidri' deserves to be one of the 'Smart City' in India.

    Eventhough Iam against @ some top leaders of the congress who even being having capacity, couldn't improove the quality of life of people.but i love some who really worked hard to for the betterment of the society like abhayachandra under whom moodbidri saw the light of development very rapidly.eventhough earlier MLA ,Amarnath shetty too was not bad.but under abhayachandra moodbidri developed in Rocket speed.This very kadalakere where we used to have pidk party and it was like a huge ground..

    Dear All concern Authority's. I am happy to see the news article. we are releasing fish into this lake from past few years. but till today never saw single catch. Entire water dries during April May. then what is the point of releasing these Fishes ? Still there is lots of mud can be removed from the lake and can make the Lake deep.

    Alos Dam built nead Poyad pake Arabhi is wasted. Local temple priest acquired the entire properly. We have submitted many Applications to Mr Abhayachandra no use single action not taken by him. Can you please evacuate and vacate the Land Acquired by the local priest and repair the DAM ?

    Jain sahab let us think big. As compare to our neighbouring states kerala and Goa Karnataka is much low development in tourism industry. Just crossing mangalore from kasargod to trivandrum many five star hotels other grade hotels in beaches are come up. From konkona to anjuna arambol beach in goa all the development taken place in large scale.In both states the tourism earling are more than karnataka. we can build good hotels and boat house in beach like ullal panambur suratkal malpe kundapur maravanthe, and boat houses in kulur river udyawar kalyanpur gangoli karwar and back waters.. Karwar got a potentiality for air port. The hotel industry can be developed by giving the subsidy to pvt. business entrepreneurs.Let us start now. Think big we can together can do it.

    - JACUZZI - for family relaxation & enjoyment

    - Cabanas, Showers, Changing Rooms, Locker rooms, Toilets

    - Children's Play Area

    - Dry Sports - basketball, tennis & volleyball courts

    - Barbeque Stand/Stove

    - Amphi Theatre would be a great idea as Kadalakere surrounded by the nature. If at least 2000 capacity theatre contructed, it can be used for musical concerts, corporate events and shows.

    - Musical Fountain

    - Jog/Walking track

    - Food & Beverage outlets

    - Security/Life Guards

    - First Aid

    KADALAKERE is just couple of Kilometers from our native place Paladka. This man made lake was once a empty ground and cricket tournaments were held. There were 3 cricket grounds made of this huge area and we have vivid memories playing cricket during our college days.
    Once it was converted to lake sorry to say that it is poorly maintained. it closes and reopens now and then. if you are lucky u will find a boat.
    Can Authorities find a permanent solution for this?
    Can it be a full time tourist attraction spot?
