Bangalore, Sep 5: Soon after the court issued a warrant of arrest against Karthik Gowda, son of union railway minister, D V Sadananda Gowda, a police team visited Gowda's home in the city to record statement of Datty Sadananda Gowda, mother of Karthik.
Assistant commissioner of police and investigating officer, Omkaraiah, led a police team which visited the minister's home in Sanjay Nagar here on Thursday September 4.
They posed certain questions to Datty and recorded her replies. The police personnel said that they had to record Datty's statement as Mythriya had claimed that she had met Karthik's mother at her home, informed her about the marriage, convinced her of their relationship, and requested her to approve their marriage and accept her as daughter-in-law.
During the questioning however, it is gathered that Datty said that she had once received a call from Mytrhiya, and other than this call, she had no communication whatsoever with Mythriya, and that she had never met the complainant. Datty also told the investigators that this was part of a conspiracy hatched by Congress to defame the railway minister and his family.
