"Nothing is finalized... Whatever is being discussed is in the phase of suggestions... we have to work out logistics before deciding on the event," said Nandini Paliwal, chief executive officer (CEO), Entertainment society of Goa (ESG).
The ESG, a nodal agency to organize IFFI, has finalized Brilliant Entertainment Limited as an event management firm for the event. While directorate of film festival (DFF) would be handling the core-film festival, the ESG and Brilliant officials are busy chalking out peripheral programmes.
These programmes, basically held on the beach fronts, are open for public viewing.
Hindi movie biggies like Hritik Roshan, Amrita Arora, Bipasha Basu, Prabhudeva prominently starring in the list.
The international concerts of Boney M or Tribute to R D Burman by Asha Bhosle are the event discussed by organizers, Paliwal stated.
What will add blitzkrieg to the event will be participation of regional biggies. This time, the IFFI, 2006 makers have decided to invite regional film stars to peform for the event. Twelve press conferences are planned across the country to publicize the event.
