Mangalore, Sep 7: “Our dreams should be big and we should always strive to make them a reality.  Similarly our signature should not be confined to our personal needs but we should convert it as our autograph.  Only if we struggle for it can we achieve reputation”, said Dr Vedaprakash Mishra, chancellor of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences of Karad in Maharashtra while speaking on the occasion of fourth convocation day at Nitte Institute in Deralakatte.

“Instead of doubting whether I can do it, we should have the confidence that I can do come what may. Ordinary people read history but only extra ordinary people can create history. Young doctors, graduates or diploma holders or anybody could attain heights if they are prepared to accept challenges and have strong determination. Only when we dream big and proceed to make them a reality with self confidence, can we achieve big”, he said.

Teachers are the role models for students.  They should be given an adequate place in the life of students along with parents.  In the future when these students work in and outside the country, the name of the alma mater should shine, said N Shantaram Shetty, vice -chancellor of Nitty University.

N Vinay Hegde, chancellor who presided over the programme, said that graduates hesitate to work in the rural area and expressed his displeasure that rural people do not get medical assistance in time.
