Fitness is about mind, body, soul: Shibani Kashyap

Mumbai, Sep 11 (IANS): Singer-actress Shibani Kashyap concentrates a lot on her fitness and says that the best approach to a healthy lifestyle doesn't just involve focus on one's physical appearance but also on the well-being of the mind and soul.

“I follow a very strict fitness regime. I do yoga everyday because I feel fitness is not only about looking good, but also how you feel in your mind and soul,” Shibani told IANS.

Toiling for hours with excessive use of make-up can have harmful effect on the skin. But the singer says that she blends detox therapy and spa-treatment to counter it.

“My beauty mantra is regular detox therapy and indulging in spa once a week. It brings glow to your face and body. It is essential to get rid of the toxins which gets into your body through alcohol and pollution or food,” the singer said.

“The moment shooting gets over, I scrub my make-up off as one should use as little make-up as possible,” she added.

Asked to give some fitness tips, she listed the basics: “Start your morning with a glass of vegetable juice, drink loads of water and avoid fried food. Try to have dinner by 7.30 p.m. as the food that we eat after 8 turns into fat. If you are having a late dinner, try to stick to salad or nuts.”

Shibani is currently seen on TV on Star Plus's "Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera".
