Mangalore: Firm files fraud complaint against employees

Mangalore, Sep 12: A complaint stands registered in Bunder police station here against two of its employees on behalf of Wildcraft India Pvt Ltd. The complaint alleges that stores manager of the company here, Anita D'Souza and retail manager, Abhijit Kumar had together defrauded the company to the tune of Rs 3.65 lac. Both these employees are said to be absconding. The company, which has retail outlets and offices all over India, also has a shop in the city.

The complaint, filed by regional manager of the company, Sandeep R, says that during the audit of the company's show room functioning in City Centre Mall on K S Rao Road in the city on February 27 this year, a shortage of Rs 3.65 lac was found. When stores manager, Anita and retail manager, Abhijit, were questioned, the company officials came to know that the two had together inflicted loss on the company.

Sandeep also said that both the employees had gone missing since the fraud was unearthed and have not been reporting for work.
