Karkala: PU student ends her life by hanging

Karkala, Sep 15: Rachana Shetty (17), daughter of Pammabettu Raveendra Shetty from Kombagude in Ajekar in the taluk, committed suicide by hanging herself at her home on Sunday September 14.

Rachana, a first year commerce student of Jyoti PU College made tea for her mother as usual and went to her room telling her mother that she wanted to read on Sunday September 14. After sometime the parents grew suspicious and opened the door and found Rachana hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her room.

A case has been registered in Ajekar police station with this regard and police have taken up investigation.
