Sullia, Sep 17: Sullia Police have arrested Satish (23) resident of Janata Nagar, Mysore for cheating people in the name of card designing machine in Sullia.

The accused used an easy method of advertising in daily newspapers promising the people that they could make money from home by designing cards. He asked them to pay certain amount which he kept to himself without sending them the promised card designing machine.

Sandhya A.C from Devachalla was the complainant. Like many of them Sandhya had sent the initial fees of Rs.1200 and Rs.2500 for the card designing machine. When she did not receive the machine, she kept on insisting that she should get the machine. But the accused demanded more money to deliver it.

And when the victim refused to pay, the accused threatened her from his two cell phones with abusive words and vulgar messages.

The accused has been remanded to judicial custody. Sullia police are investigating the case.
