Mangalore: CFI protests against attack on college students

Mangalore, Sep 19: Condeming the attack on the six college students in Pumpwell on Thursday, Campus Front of India held a protest at Pumpwell here on Friday Sepetember 19.

Addressing the protest, Tufail, State Committtee memeber of Campus Front of India said, "A few goondas of a facist organization attacked innocent college students. Campus Front of India severly condemns this type of fascist tendencies. We are living in a democratic country and every one has a right to live."

"Government and the police department should take severe action against those who attacked the innocent or else we will hold a massive protest by shutting schools and colleges. This is not the first time that such attacks have taken place in the district and they are seem to be continuing," he added.

Riyaz, district committee member of Campus Front of India said, "Several cases od moral policing have been repeating in the city. The police department should be active in tackling these issues. Campus Front of India will fight against the moral policing till it stops. This is the beginning and if it continues we will get into the streets. The police should provide security for minority students against the facist forces of Sangha Parivar. Goonda act should be booked against them."
