Kasargod: Manjeshwar police seize sand being transported in lorry

Kasargod, Sep 22: Manjeshwar station police have seized lorry transporting sand after making to believe that it is fish. Two people were taken into custody.

When police on night patrol intercepted the lorry and questioned, the inmates said that they were transporting fish. However during the investigation they revealed that they had kept fish boxes on top of sand.

The sand was being transported from Karnataka to Kerala.

Police have seized more than ten lorries transporting sand during the last few days.
