Mangalore: Leeladhar Bykampady to be awarded Rashtriya Bhooshan

Mangalore, Sep 23: Leeladhar Bykampady, who involved himself in the service of motherland, culture, literature, community and society, in and out of the country for the last 27 years starting from a young age has been selected for 'Rashriya Bhooshan,' a national level award for the year 2014. The award is awarded by Sir M Vishweshwaraya Pratishtana of Bangalore for Kannadigas living outside the country.

He is employed in Bahrain for the past 16 years as a finance manager of a private group of companies. He has worked for the social, community, literature and people friendly causes of Kannadigas and Indians in undivided Dakshina Kannada district, Mumbai and Bahrain.

He is identified among the Kannadigas and other Indians in and out of the the country as a social activist, active organizer, award winning drama actor, young author and pro-society thinker.

The prestigious Rastriya Bhooshan award is being awarded to excellent Kannadiga achievers in the society for the last 21 years. It consists
of a memento, certificate, medal, award banner and a shawl.

Winner achiever Leeladhar Baikampady will receive the national level award at the end of this month at the Nayana Hall in the premises of Ravindra Kalakshetra in the presence of elite members of the society.
