Kasargod, Sep 23: There was reportedly a gas leakage during work on railway tracks on Tuesday September 23 at 9.30 am. The incident occurred near Kasargod railway station.

The workers immediately informed the fire brigade who arrived in time and extinguished the fire.

A train was to arrive on other tracks from Kannur. However, the danger was averted by timely action of the police and fire brigade within half an hour.
