The Beatles' 'Ed Sullivan...' backdrop to be auctioned


Los Angeles, Sep 26 (IANS) Part of the backdrop that The Beatles band performed in front of when they made their US TV debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show" is to be auctioned off as part of the upcoming The Fest for Beatles fans here.

A portion of the show's set is expected to go under the hammer for $550,000 next month, reports contactmusic.com.

The Beatles appeared on the show Feb 9, 1964.
