Bantwal: Attempt to overtake costs young biker's life

Bantwal, Sep 28: In a tragic incident, a 28-year-old youth died in a road accident on Sunday September 28 morning.

The victim has been identified as Harish Poojary, a resident of Kambala Bettu, Nerlaaje.

Harish was running a furniturte shop. It is said that the accident occured when he was riding towards Mani. While he was trying to overtake an Alto car, his bike collided with the rear of the car and as a result lost his balance and hit the right side of a bus that was plying from Mani. As a result, Harish fell under the bus and tyres went over his head. He died on the spot.

Vittal police rushed to the spot and have registered a case.

    Bikers are out of control in D K Streets. The way they twist and turn their bikes,someones life is in danger. Just a short while ago a young man was taking 3 little children on his bike. Little one in front ,other 2 were in back without helmet. I prayed to God for safety of these Children. He was riding on Highway near Nanthoor. Policeman saw him but He could do very little as there is no law at all.

    Not ALL Bikers are reckless drivers!
    Young Blood with hormones pumping their hearts adrenalin overflow causes these accidents along with cellphone use by 2 wheeler drivers who gaze at their phones while driving.
    Rest In Peace is all we can pray.
