Mangalore, Sep 29: The Bunder police have arrested Venugopal (57) from Car Street, the scam- tainted director of Vruksha business solutions on Sunday.
The culprit had been absconding since the depositors and agents of the Vruksha business solutions staged protest.
The other two directors of Vraksha business solutions, Jeevraj Puranik and Roshan D'Souza were arrested and remanded to judicial custody last week on September 26.
The said Vruksha business solutions had allegedly collected over Rs 90 crores from its depositors without paying back the principal and interest amount as promised. And recently the company which had its head office on K S Rao Road in Mangalore had closed its shutters.
Police said they are still on the lookout for other people who are believed to be involved in the scam.
