DK District Congress Committee outlines future plans

Mangalore, Oct 1: The Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee organized a press meet recently to brief about the future plans of the party in the district.

Ibrahim Kodijal, interim president, District Congress, addressing the media persons at the Congress Office said, “On October 28, 2014, there will be a registration programme for membership to the Congress in 16 blocks of DK, from 9 am till 6 pm. The registration will be completed in the month of November. There will be election for the post of president of the board and corporation. All the elections will be under the inspection of the district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai.”

“There will also be a Gandhi Jayanthi celebration on Thursday October 2, in front of the Town Hall, at the Gandhi statue. As we are moving towards the festival season of ‘Dasara’, ‘Bakrid’, and ‘Christmas’, the Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee wishes to have a joyful and peaceful celebration,” added Kodijal.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, Kallige Tharanath Shetty, Padmanaba Naringana, H M Ashraf, Vishwas Das, Nagendra Kumar, and Ameer Thumbe (State Congress Labour Cell) were present during the press meet.

    Take any of the DK District Congress Committee press conference, you note there are more people on the dais than the number of press persons in attendance. Introspection in that may answer lot of questions for Congress.
