Udupi : 'Love Letter' to minor girl - Two UP boys in police net

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (RJP)

Udupi, Oct 2: Two youths who sent a love letter to a minor girl were manhandled by the public, later to be arrested. The incident took place at Katpady on Wednesday.

The arrested are Mohammed Shoib (21) and Sajib (23) both from Uttar Pradesh.

The duo worked for a furniture shop in Katpady and stayed in a rented house.

Sajib wrote a love letter and asked Shoib to deliver it to the innocent girl who is studying in 9th standard. When the girl was passing by their place in the school vehicle, Shoib threw the letter into the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, who was alert, saw this and stopped the vehicle to chase the culprit. The onlookers also helped the driver in catching Shoib. They manhandled him till the police arrived.

Later the police arrested the writer of the letter Sajib.

The minor girl’s mother complained to the police. Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences act 2012 (Posco).

The Katpady residents have requested the police to keep a database of migrant workers who have become nuisance to the society. Many offenses committed by the migrants have been recorded in the recent past.

whoever it is totally inappropriate. there is a love letter. Accept or reject... do not need this big drama..just because of immigrant or religion. take it easy guys. Watch chini kum and chill.... class 9 is may be 15 just one year lesser than legal age for marriage but no where it says they cannot make friendship or pass love letter. do not exaggerate...

Whoever it may be of any religion, such act should be punished heavily.
Indian law is very weak & process is very slow & corrupt. So some exclusive cases slight manhandling can be excused what I feel. Otherwise such crime will increased without having any fear, I am sure.
Example local Bus drivers make accidents , even some time they kill the persons but immediately run from the location. Later Bus Owners protect them & you can see the same person driving the bus again next day . This is our LAW.
Finally, I want to clarify the following from Mr. ,
Do you mean the killers of thousands of Muslims in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan & Pakistan are not practicing Muslim ?? ( Islam)
Or this killings are done legally ? It is not manhandling ?
Don’t defend the Criminals, forget about the religion. Criminals are there in every religion.

Crimes increased in southern states because of inflow of northern states immigrants labour's. Hundreds of theft cases can not traced by police because of they catch first train runs towards northern part of India after robbery. Locals should aware of these immigrants.

Immigrants are not the issue here...
Issue is how come Ismail suddenly defends the fellow muslim by diverting the issue as North Indian immigrant....
If this is the way, every fellow muslim will get encouragement to do this... they also think Ismail like people successfully defend us... now tell me how to stop this happening...

    @ JK, Udupi.
Thackeray (Shiv Sena) started his political life by intimidating and sometimes attacking South Indians who worked as clerks and owned small restaurants as they were taking away local jobs. South Indians were derisively referred to as yandugunduwalasand lunghiwalas.
South Indians were his main targets as he claimed that they were taking away jobs from Marathis. He lampooned "Madrassi" in his writings and drawings. Udupi restaurants, which is mainly owned by Kannada people and homes of Tamil and Telugu speakers were attacked.
However other political parties in the state have been more conciliatory in their approach towards South Indians.

Shiv Sena had also set out ideological declarations which encouraged Maharashtrians not to eat in Udupi restaurants,. Shiv Sena cadres had become involved in various attacks against the South Indian communities, vandalising South Indian restaurants.

After reading news and comments .....

    1. In any sharia jurisdiction above such incidents are highly unlikely , since girls are in a closed better environment and early marriage is recommended.

2 . Though mischief by boys is condemnable , people beat the hell out them. So why not complaint against group of peaple for mob violence !?

    3. Just writing a love letter is a ' assault' under POSCO act !? , strange !. Laws has to follow books not mob justice.

    4. I seriously doubt , without the enticement from girls side , above such incident is hard to think.

I would like to condemn this cheap behaviour of 2 minority boys.
Boys should be punished severely under Indian Law
India is democratic country, we cannot law in our hand punish the culprit.

Secondly if we punish him under sharia law then you will be first one to jump on us.

How mean RSRB and Shivappa that u want just controversy .

Anyways by having muslim name is doesn't mean he is muslim. He should be practicing muslim.
If anyone practicing muslim he will not do any such cheap incidence.
