Kasargod, Oct 3: A UP youth selling Churidars attempted to rape a young girl who was alone at home at Kayyar near Bandyod.
The alleged youth who attempted rape is identified as Uttar Pradesh origin Rizwan Rana (20).
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon October 2. Rizwan had come to sell Churidars. After observing a girl alone in a house, he allegedly entered the house and tried to sexually assault her.
The girl then screamed and ran to a neighbouring house. The youth fled from the place. Locals came to know about the incident, searched for Rizwan and caught him while he was going to Talapady in a bus.
Later, he was handed him over to police.
