Want to translate small screen success to big screen: S.N. Shaktevel

Chennai, Oct 8 (IANS): Debutant director S.N. Shaktevel, who is popular for his hit serial "Chinna Papa Periya Papa", is confident that he can translate his successful stint on television to cinema with upcoming Tamil comedy "Ivanuku Thannila Gandam".

"When it comes to humour, the size of the screen does not matter at all. I'm confident that I would be able to convert my entry into the big screen to a huge success. My producer Venkatraj had no hesitation to initiate the shooting process once I narrated the script to him," Shaktevel said in a statement.

The film, which features Deepak and Neha in the lead, revolves around a blown out night party.

"The movie is all about a futile TV host, whose life goes topsy-turvy after a night party. It will be an out-and-out entertainer," he said.

"Ivanuku Thannila Gandam" is currently in its post-production phase. It also features R. Pandiarajan, Subbu Panchu, Sentrayan, Manobala, MS. Bhaskar, Rajendran and Sandy.
