Pharrell Williams: Should respect talent in fashion industry

Los Angeles, Oct 9 (IANS) “Happy” hitmaker Pharrell Williams says although he has collaborated with a number of fashion designers, he still feels he is a guest in the industry and must be respectful of their talent.

Williams has collaborated with Moynat designer Ramesh Nair, who previously worked for luxury brand Hermes, to create a series of pochettes and handbags decorated with steam trains.

Although this is far from his first delve into the fashion world, he is still reluctant to refer to it as a job, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Asked on whether fashion had become his second string career after music, he said: "I would be scared to say anything beyond that while I am enjoying these opportunities.”

"I have to be incredibly respectful of the expertise and talent of the people I have been lucky enough to work with. And I intend to continue being respectful of that,” he added.

The 40-year-old star has also worked with brands like Comme des Garcons, Adidas and Uniqlo.
