Sullia: DVS' mother Kamala passes away at 92

Sullia, Oct 11: Kamala (92), mother of D V Sadananda Gowda, Minister of Railways in the Government of India passed away at 2:45 am on Saturday October 11.

She died at her house in Devaragunda, Sullia.


Sadananda Gowda and his family had earlier this week suffered the loss of his younger sister Savithri Shivaram Gowda when she lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday October 7.

    Very sad news. May her soul rest in peace and may Lord grant Sadananda Gowda(My school mate in Govt.High School Sullia in 1965) his brothers and sisters with their families the strength to bear the great loss on the sad demise of their mother.

    A series of setbacks to Gowda.. My heart goes out to him.. its just destiny and kaalachakra and I am sure he will come out of all this..

    May his mother's soul rest in peace!! I think she has seen it all in her life.. her son being MP, MLA, Party president, CM, Union Minister etc.. also some setback liek a daughters death infront of her own eyes.. putra shokam nirantaram they say.. However, I am sure she has left for heavenly abode... I pray to God for eternal rest to the departed soul!! ... condolences to Gowda and his family..

    Mr.Gowda in recent times suffered series of personal losses including his son's scandal with sandalwood actress, loss of his younger sister now his mother.
    May God give him strength to recover from the grief & focus on his mission to serve the country better & make all of us proud..
