Mangalore, Oct 17: Noted Konkani poets Wilson Kateel and Henry M Mendonca (H M Pernal) represented Konkani at the poetry session which was held as part of Suvrana Karnataka Samskriti Dibbana celebrations at Town Hall here on Monday October 16 afternoon.

The multi-language poetry session witnessed some of the noted poets presenting some of the fine poems of recent times.   Senior journalist and bureau chief of Udayavani Manohar Prasad presented Tulu poem "Kabite Kattere Aayiji". while Dr Vasanth Kumar Perla presented "Umbale Ba Oppa Kunhi" poem in Havyaka language.

Harish Kera of Vijaya Karnataka presented Kannada poem "Patha", a different kind of poet which kept the audience glued to their chair. Konkani poet Henry Mendonca (H M Pernal) presented "Nimanno Purxanv" in his inimitable style, while up and coming Wilson's poem 'Molachem Mol' had a lesson or two to be learnt by all.  Kudrepadi Jagannath Alva's "Porle Porlu Tulu Bashe" was a tonic to the entire session.

Sulochana Pachanadka, Rashmi and Aruna Kumari represented the women folk at the poetry session and succeeded in proving their worth.  Dr Amrita Someshwar presided over the poetry session.
