Bantwal, Oct 13: An unidentified group of four persons allegedly kidnapped a young businessman at Panemangalore here on Sunday, October 12, before releasing him later.

Anup (26), a resident of Sarapady was kidnapped from his house by persons who wielded weapons, sources said.

His friends who came to know about the incident lodged a complaint with the police. Anup was later released by the kidnappers at BC Road.

Sources said that Anup has an arecanut processing factory. He had taken a loan from a finance firm and having failed to return it in time, the amount had gone into lacs because of additional interest. It is suspected that he was kidnapped in order to threaten or scare him into paying the outstanding amount. Sources said that he was released after the kidnappers elicited an assurance from him that he would pay the amount soon.

Anup later appeared before Bantwal circle inspector Beliappa and narrated the incident.

A case has been registered in Bantwal town police station.

Yes, that is true as well. But a question. What about the person who gave the money as a loan? No doubt they must have tried everything possible to get their money back. After all it was their hard earned money as well, na?

This same case happened a few years back about this prominent lighting store. One partner decamped with more than 60 lakhs in cash. The only alternative for the other partner was to go to court to recover the cash. I think the thief's wife and mother then begged the partner not to go to court and the case was ped.

Now big people can afford to sign away 60 lakhs in cash but what about other people? We have to think like that as well, na? What if it happened to you and me?Money does not fall from trees. Its our hard earned money.

SICK.... this is really sick of these PVT financing companies... by kidnapping they've proved that these guys are more poorer than those who take the loan.. there are thousands of other LEGAL ways to bring out your money on any failure from the person's side who has taken the loan. but this is really so so so cheap of you people.

    Henry,

Agreed....There is legal ways to recover the loan....

Many times In India if you are going on legal ways...it will take years, and Plaintiff will never get justice and defend will enjoy his life with others hard earned money.

Our Judiciary ‘s wheel’s jammed such way, many Land lords or Good Samaritan’s helplessly approaching the street laws…..This NOT my opinion. It is said by “ Ret.SC Judge in public function.
