Udupi: Man caught for harassing girl, thrashed by public

Udupi, Oct 13: A man was beaten by public at Padubidri bus stand for misbehaving with a girl in a private bus.

The man identified as Noor Mohammed from Jeppu Morgansgate, was misbehaving with a minor girl. Noor Mohammed (30) works in a private mobile shop at Udupi and travels daily from Udupi to Mangalore in a bus. When the bus was reached Kaup, Noor misbehaved with the minor girl who hails from Padubidri. The girl informed her friends and asked for help. When the bus reached Padubidri, the public hit him before handing him over to the Padubidri police.

The girl’s father has given a written complaint about the issue. Padubidri Sub Inspector Ajmath Ali investigated and sent Noor Mahammed to Hiriyadka jail for 15 days custody.
