Udupi, Oct 14: A cement mixer truck parked near a cafe moved backward and rammed into the cafe, destroying two bikes on it way and furniture kept outside the cafe, near DC’s office at Manipal, on Tuesday, October 14.
The cement mixer truck was plying from Parampalli towards Manipal in the evening today.
The driver had stopped the truck near DC’s office on a slanted place and went out of the truck for sometimes when the incident took place. The parked truck on its own started moving backwards ramming into ‘Planet Cafe’.
No one was injured in the accident.
Manipal police came on the spot after the incident.
The driver is absconding.
