Puttur: Scooterist dies in road accident near Kadaba

Puttur, Oct 15: After a scooter and a mini bus got involved in an accident near the market yard of Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at Kadaba in the taluk, a person riding on his two ­wheeler lost his life. The accident occurred on Tuesday October 14 afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Surendran (38), son of Kunhambu, a resident of Goliyadka in Renjilady village in the taluk.

Surendran used to accept centering work on contract basis in the field of building construction. He was returning to Kadaba town after buying fuel for his scooter from a petrol bunk located near APMC yard, when his vehicle collided head­on near the road bend leading to the bunk, with a mini bus that was entering the petrol bunk.

Surendran, who suffered extensive wounds to his head died on the spot. He was a native of Mavinakatte in Nojibaltila village, but had recently started living at Goliyadka. He is survived by wife and two daughters. A case was registered relating to the accident at Kadaba police station.
