Udupi: Bank finds 73 fake currency notes in cash remitted to it

Udupi, Oct 18: A complaint relating to detection of 73 fake currency notes from among cash received from various branches of Corporation Bank at its currency here was filed in town police station here. These notes were found from cash remittances made between January 2014 and May 2014.

Senior manager of Corporation Bank's currency chest here, Anil Rao, stated that these fake notes were found during the checking of currency notes received at the chest from different branches during the said period. These notes are represented in notes of Rs 1,000, 500 and 100 denominations, Rao said in the complaint.

The case has been registered under 297/2014 under section 489B of Indian Penal Code, it is learnt.

    why dont they install automate Machine to detect the fake notes?it will help them better than Holding high in the air and Controlling it.It takes time and not always sure.whereas Machine ca detect it immediately.They are saving Money on the wrong side and loosing Money.

    Make use of technology and little finger tricks. Regular funding and multi stage verification while funding and receiving can avoid such goalmaal. There I - Vision counting machines which can catch any fake notes. Banks must invest little amount in purchasing of these to avoid such circumstances.

    I had been to one of the corporation banks branch in somewhere mid 2013. they dont even care for customers, bcoz due to computerization they reduced the staff. and they dont have time to check. when there is a huge que near the deposit counter poor lady how can she check each and every note? humanly it is not possible.The fake notes are printed in such a way that u cant recognize so easily. only machines can detect. In this case it is the banks duty to install depositing machines, similar to atm machines in every bank, inorder to avoid such type of errors.

    This is the fast growing business in our country. Fake currency coming through wagon,Airport,Shipment all the means of transport. Those TAPORIS who indulging in this business have become billionaire including in Mangaluru. Every Mangalorean know who is who???? all this is show off business! Our rogue politician are the Godfather's of these crook. Finally money multiplies money that is the formula of this trade.

    Gandhiji was not wearing spectacles in these notes ,which was difficult to detect. This sort of explanation may come from the currency chest manager, to take the blame off his chest.

    Enquiry bitana hi tho Bank Cashier se start ki jaay,cashier ke bina aur jiske paas Locker ke key rehta hiuske bina yeh kaam mumkin nahi.

    Currency notes are even circulated in Real Estate business. Lakhs and crores are invested through Real Estate. If Real Estate companies are raided then lot of fake moneys can be recovered.

    Smuggling gold through anus technology and circulating fake currency notes in the country is the main job of people from our neibouring Dist/state gods own country and also from Bhatkal.Circulating fake currency nots through banking channel might be well designed modes oerandi by such people through luring the people conneed with bank/ATMs.Here Corp Bank might be knowing through which branch cash bundles wherein with fake notes were found/remitted.This route may sometimes may help to nail actual culprits.

    Last week,I was mentioning about fake currency notes received by one of my friends when he had withdrawn Rs.10,000/- from bank (Manipal)..(this case related to 2013).Bank didn't compensate him when he went back and complained..

    First of all, how bank cashiers fail to detect fake notes?
    What to do ? The original currency notes were deposited in Swiss banks.
    Printed in Pakistan, exported to Gulf, imported in Kasargodu distributed all over India. Jai Ho.
