‘Jezu Mhaka Zai’ Konkani devotional hymns album released in Mangalore

Mangalore, Oct 19: The much awaited Konkani devotional hymns album which was released in Abu Dhabi during the last Monthi Feast Celebration has been officially released in Mangalore.

The inaugural was held at Bonduel Church. Fr. Leo Lobo, Parish Priest of Bajpe church inaugurated the CD along with Fr Andrew D’souza, Parish priest of Bondel Church, Fr Jason Monis asst parish priest Bondel Church and Santhu Omzoor Editor ‘Daivilk Amrith’ Konkani monthly. Wilfy Fernandes from Kinnigoli who presently resides in Abu Dhabi is the creator of this album who has written the lyrics and composed the tunes. Joel Pereira has rendered the music.

The CD was well appreciated and accepted by people in Gulf. The hymns are well suitable for the holy mass celebration especially for any feast celebrations. ‘Daivik Amrith’ is the main distributor of this CD in Mangalore and around. As before Wilfy Fernandes has donated all the proceedings of this album towards the new twin church buildings of Abu Dhabi. The CD is available in stores and church offices across Mangalore and Udupi.

In his opening speech Fr Andrew appealed to support this noble cause and appreciated Wilfy towards his selfless efforts. In his short thanking note Wilfy thanked all the priests and team of Daivik Amrith and the Bondel parishioners for giving him an opportunity to release his CD in their parish.

To ease the choir masters job, Wilfy has printed all the musical notations of this album in a computerized format which are available with Fr Andrew and Daivik Amrith office for free.
