Mangalore: ‘Bale Telipule’ raises funds for education

Mangalore, Oct 19: Karavali Sangeetha Kalavidara Okkuta organized ‘Bale Telipule’ and Tulu film song programme ‘Rasamanjari’ at Don Bosco Hall, Balmatta, on Sunday October 19 as a fundraiser for furthering education.

The event began with an invocation and lighting of the lamp.

Addressing the gathering, Sadananda Shetty, chairman, Shree Devi Education Trust, said, “There are two types of artists, those born with talent and those through hard work and dedication towards art or music. In today's life, in order to remain healthy, people need to follow ‘laugh therapy’ and this programme is serving the dual purpose of helping the students and keeping us healthy.”

Srikanth Kamath, Navadurga Industries, Valentine D’Souza, inspector, City Crime Branch(CCB), Shivanand Karkera, M Damodar Bagvath, Karavali Sangeetha Kalavidara Okkuta, and treasurer Mallika Shetty were present on the occasion.

The guests on the dais were felicitated with mementoes.

The team ‘Prashamsha Kaup’ of (Prasanna Shetty, Sandeep Shetty, Mervin) entertained the audience throughout the show with their superb comedy skills. Pushkal Kumar compered the programme.
