Belthangady: Cattle trafficking, three persons arrested

Belthangady, Oct 20: The police have arrested three persons involved in transporting of cattle for slaughtering purpose on Sunday.

Abdul Aziz from Thotaththady, Ismail and Bawa from Navoor are the arrested persons. The raid took place at Guruvayanakere.

The police found 1 bull, 2 calves and 6 cows in the pickup vehicle the arrested used for the transportation of cattle. It is said that the animals in the small vehicle were kept and treated in an inhuman way. The police have seized the vehicle and rescued the cattle.

Meanwhile few Hindu organizations have demanded to curb the prevalent cattle trafficking in the area. They have complained that cattle have been regularly stolen from Indabettu and Killur areas.

Belthangady police Sub Inspector Prakash Devadiga led the operation.

Aap khud boloh mey kounsa meat ka baare me likha karke.

How do you know the meat which i mentioned "is naturally low in salt and a rich source of good quality protein. It is also a
good source of several vitamins and minerals needed for good health". On what basis you are leveling false allegation against me.

Illegal in Karnataka - Cow, calf of a cow (male or female) or calf of a she-buffalo - Transport for slaughter to a place outside the State not permitted. Sale, purchase or disposal of a cow or a calf, for slaughter, is not permitted.

Brother, the information you gave seems correct. There is a saying "When the cow stops giving milk, it is sent to butcher's knife." Since, it is banned, Govt should have made rules as how to stop a farmer from selling his old cow to a butcher. A farmer can not afford to take care of it, till it's natural death. Actually, Govt should purchase those old cows and send them to goshalas where the cow lovers (Bajrangis & VHP) are told to take care of them till the cows die. Otherwise, we are going to only square one. Govts whichever they are, are not serious of Hindu sentiments and just they are beating around the bush.

A butcher gets an urgent call from home and he tells his next shop clerk to look the business for sometime. A gentleman comes and asks 2 kg of sirloin steak from the beef, but the clerk is unable to cut the piece since he does not know. Gentleman asks him whether he can cut and when said yes, goes and cuts the exact piece in a minute. The astonished clerk asks him whether he is also a butcher, "No, I am a surgeon." said the gentleman.

This stealing and illegal slaughter should be stopped with iron hand. But, one thing I am surprised how India being a Hindu majority country, happens to be the number one beef exporter !

RSS cadres are fully active in stealing and illegal transporting of cattles in twin dist. I hope you are coopa mandooka or you want to be. Some years back when we use to go beef cooking hotels in around Udupi-Kundapura majority of customers are hindus. Hope you did not get shocked. And even more in our home for any function we invite to hindu neighbors and friends. When we serve them chicken/mutton biriyani specially they ask for beef sukka. Interesting thing is here that when they finish their lunch/dinner possibility is there to remain some chicken or mutton pieces but not a single peice of beef sukka, they knows the taste.

Any comments by VELLANO1 MUMBAI and other GOMATHA followers for the beef exported from India.....India is the major exporter of BEEF to so many countries......Yes I agree that cattle thieves should be PUNISHED HEAVILY.....Let the cattle owners keep the photos of their cattle like ADHAAR CARDS.. and let them complain when their cattle are stolen / missing.....This will help to trace the missing cattle OR the cattle owners should not allow the cattle to roam freely in the roads causing traffic nuicense and the cattle could be taken care like diary farms in cities. WE SHOULD TAKE CARE OF OUR CATTLE / MONEY / ASSETS OURSELVES.... instead of blaming others for our carelessness.....

BD & RSS responsible for cow steal. They restricted free transport of cattle, started beating those who transport legally, innocent merchant did not take risk to transport cattle like before because of restriction and fear of attack hence demand for cattle got increases thereby price also increased very highly. so some bad minded people thought of easy money.

Government must seriously consider and plan for breeding of Desi Cows and more facilities to the farmers those who possess Desi cows. This is serious issue since Desi cows are decreasing day by day. Every hills, valleys , grounds turning to houses and complexes. Rivers are diverting. Restriction on cow slaughter was there from the years. Shortage of cows because of the non production and beef export.

It is legal because it is carried in close refer containers(ship). It becomes illegal when it is transported by non AC trucks.

Anything that is done under table is legal in India.

I am sure, Peter, vitamins and minerals r a reason for beef eating.. if so, people wld also eat Pork, or a dog or anything easily available! ... man is cruel, and he only tries to eat those animals which he can overpower.. be it chicken, bakri, cow,camel, pig, ... nobody dares to go hunting, a real cruel animal! .... also, the religion says, kill all cows, who is considered holy for hindus! thats the issue here!
