Bhatkal, Oct 20: An individual identified as Manjunath Naik (29) was killed while Iqbal was injured in a head on collission near Shifa Cross NH 66 Bhatkal.
The incident occured at around 2 pm.
Manjunath was resident of Bhatkal Karikal Jali and Iqbal was from Nagappa Naik Road Near AL Eman Masjid.
Iqbal, who was injured in the accident, after initial treatment at Bhatkal Government Hospital was shifted To Kundapur.
It is said that jus about ten minutes before the accident, Manjunath spoke to his family and said that he was on his way for lunch.
Manjunath was working in a gym in Bangalore. According to sources, Manjunath was planning to return to Bangalore three days ago, but postponed his return due to Deepavali.
A post mortem will be conducted in Bhatkal Government Hospital after which the body will be handed over to the family.
A case has been registered at Bhatkal Town Police Station.
