B'lore: Syndicate Bank launches 5 new products on Foundation Day

Bangalore, Oct 20: Five new products -- SyndBalashakti, Syndprivilege TAB banking, Synd e-banking, SyndMahilashakti and Syndkuteer – were launched to mark the 89th Foundation Day of nationalised Syndicate Bank on Monday.

Syndicate Bank Executive Directors M Anjaneya Prasad andTK Srivatsa attended the function along with a large number of staff.

The Syndicate Bank, which started on October 20, 1925 in Udupi, has business turnover over Rs 4 lakh crore during 2014 and a vast customer base of 44 million.

Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar, performed e-inauguration of 89 branches, ATMs, spread across different states of the country.

The Syndicate Bank is playing an active role in the Prime Minister’s JandhanYojana and opened about 20 lakh accounts issuing Rupay cards and has taken steps for effective implementation of Financial Inclusion. In this connection,

The Syndicate Bank honoured 5 Business Correspondents engaged in FI at Bangalore.

The Business Correspondents were honoured similarly at various other centres.

The Syndicate Bank has also issued 89,000 Rupay cards to mark the occasion.
